We were saddened by the death last week of Tom Kremer, founder of Notting Hill Editions and the NHE Essay Prize. Born in Transylvania, Kremer survived the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen, fought in Israel’s War of Independence, and went on to popularize the Rubik’s Cube, before founding Notting Hill Editions at the age of 80. Kremer died peacefully in his sleep on June 24th.
